Veteran's Lane Shed Demo

Spring into March!

Welcome March!  Whew!  We made it through most of the winter with minimal snowfall, and Spring is right around the corner according to the groundhog!  The Town of Mount Airy, with the consent of Mayor Rockinberg, is leading by example and removing the dilapidated town shed located at Veteran's Lane. This very visible location was encumbered by the eyesore which has now been removed! Much thanks to our amazing Public Works Department! See what's in store as the weather leads to more outdoor activities!

Census 2020

Census 2020

The federal census is coming to your mailbox! It’s important, safe, and easy for all Marylanders to participate.
Why the Census is Important
Census data is used to determine the level of federal funding for programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants and Children (SNAP/WIC), Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and highway and transportation projects.
• Every year, the federal government allocates more than $675 Billion in funding based on census data.
• Every Marylander not counted costs the state approximately $18,250 over 10 years – this equates to the state losing $26.6 Billion (based on historical U.S. Census undercount). Just think of the increased funding for government programs, infrastructure. Learn more at https://census.maryland.gov. #2020MDCensus
