Students must have been accepted into a college or university in a graduate or undergraduate program. Preference will be given to students preparing for a career in governmental or public service. The scholarship is being provided through the Frederick County Chapter of the Maryland Municipal League MML). MML is a nonprofit nonpartisan association representing over 150 cities and towns throughout Maryland. The MML works to strengthen the role and capacity of municipal government through a variety of services to include legislative representation, research, training and technical assistance.

Involvement within your community
Scholastic record
Character
Financial need
