TOWN COUNCIL MEETING DATE ADJUSTMENT FROM JANUARY 3RD TO JANUARY 10TH
Council President Poirier and I have agreed that the Town Council Meeting, set for January 3rd, should be moved to January 10th. We have also agreed that only the elected officials and necessary Town Staff should be on-site for this meeting. These decisions have been made out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of the residents of Mount Airy. Although the Town has been fortunate to have navigated the global pandemic since early 2020, unfortunately it recently struck within Town Hall affecting the Town Staff. Thus, the decision this week to restrict access to Town Hall and the decision to move the Town Meeting.
Be assured that we are taking every precaution to protect the health of our staff members and the public. We will take every measure to address this issue so we can move forward safely. The operations of the Town will continue to address the needs and provide the services to its residents. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
