The Mount Airy Farmers Market is excited to be hosting the annual Popsicles and Principals event for Parr's Ridge and Mount Airy Elementary on Wednesday, Aug. 20. This is a great way to start off the school year by meeting school staff, teachers, students and families.
The market will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. with the school event running from 4 to 6 p.m. in Watkins Park, 615 Center St.
Several of our vendors give out samples. As a heads up to parents/guardians, children will only be able to sample items with a parent/guardian present and giving permission. The sample must be consumed by the child at the vendor's table. It can not be taken throughout the market or to the playground.
Parking will be available at Watkins Park, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Parr's Ridge Elementary. If you would like to get in some additional steps, we recommend parking at the Railyard (3 N. Main St.) and walking Rails to Trails to the park.
