The Town of Mount Airy has been made aware of fraudulent emails circulating that utilize our identity. These emails appear to come from the “Mount Airy Planning Commission” and use an address ending in @usa.com. They tell applicants to wire money to pay an “application approval fee.”
These emails are not from the Town of Mount Airy. They are a scam.
If you receive one of these emails, do not reply, do not click any links, and do not send payment. Instead, report it to the Town immediately.
