The Mount Airy Ethics Commission will meet on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 7 p.m., at the Mount Airy Town Hall, 110 S. Main Street, in Council Chambers. The start of the meeting will be open and the public is welcome to attend.
The Commission is meeting to discuss changes to Chapter 13 (Ethics) of the Town Code and to draft a statement for the October Town Council meeting regarding internal controls. The Commission will go into closed session after. CLOSED MEETING - “STATUTORY AUTHORITY TO CLOSE SESSION, GENERAL PROVISIONS ARTICLE” – as allowed by 3-305(b)(1) To discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction; or any other personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals;
