Code Enforcement Corner Tips

Code Enforcement Corner

Tips from the Code Enforcement Specialist

The new year brings new beginnings and a look forward towards the new year to come. It is a time when many of us make resolutions to bring about positive change in our lives.

We would ask everyone to join us in a resolution to make 2023 the year we take positive steps to protect our water supply. The very survival of our planet depends upon it.

Clean water is a fundamental need for all of us. Nearly half of our land area drains into water reservoirs and wells.

You can help by taking these easy steps:

* Use a commercial car wash or wash your car on a lawn.

* Recycle used oil and other automotive fluids at participating stations.

* Pick-up and bag yard debris. Never blow yard debris into the street.

* Pick-up your pet waste in your yard immediately and throw in trash or flush down toilet.

* Reduce waste and recycle.

These are just a few of the easy steps you can take to protect this valuable resource.
