Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall to hear the following case(s):
CASE NO. MA-BOA-2023-04 – “South Side Plaza” Second Hearing of the Second Request
The second hearing of the second request is due to no determination by the Board of Appeals at the last hearing.
The applicant requests (a) variance (s) based on hardship related to the size restrictions on building in the LC zone parcels along South Main Street, Mount Airy, Maryland 21771. These parcels are located south of 1502 S. Main Street, the medical office building.
CASE NO. MA-BOA-2024-01 – 204 North Main Street, Special Exception
Special Exception for Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)
The applicant, Mr. Joseph Cooper, requests approval of the special exceptions to allow the top level of an existing residence to be a separate apartment. 204 North Main Street, Mount Airy, Maryland, 21771.
