2024 Hometown Heroes Banner Program

As a token of our gratitude and respect for the brave men and women who have served our country, the Town of Mount Airy is thrilled to announce the Hometown Heroes Banner Program is now open for applications for the year 2024.

Hometown Heroes Banner Program Details:

The program will be limited to 50 banners.

Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day. There is a cost for the banner.

Applications can be submitted at https://www.mountairymd.gov/FormCenter/Community-Development-12/Hometown-Heroes-Banner-Program-182

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to honor your loved ones who have served our nation. The banners serve as a heartfelt tribute, proudly displayed for the community to see and appreciate.

In addition to the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, we are excited to introduce the Veteran Memorial as part of the Flat Iron Rehabilitation Project. This project will include a brick memorial dedicated to veterans. These bricks will be placed and preserved for generations to come, providing a lasting tribute and a place for reflection.

Bricks can be personalized with the names and details of veterans.

There is a separate cost and application process for this program.
