Patrons of Mount Airy Downtown Main Street
The Town of Mount Airy wants to thank you for visiting our Historic Downtown on Main Street. Our commercial partners depend on your patronage for their continued success. The Town is a proud partner with our businesses and, to encourage customers to visit their establishments, has designated 17 “short-term” parking spaces along their store fronts on Main Street. These parking spaces were established to make it easy to grab a bite to eat, conduct an office visit, or obtain goods and services. To maximize the availability of these convenient parking spaces for patrons, the spaces have been designated for 2-hour parking.
Our Downtown businesses believe that this convenience is a positive factor to draw patrons to their establishments. We understand that there are occasions where the business you may be conducting exceeds the allotted 2-hour time limitation. If you anticipate that your visit will exceed the 2-hour parking limitation, additional long-term parking is available in the Rail Yard or in the lot off Center Street. Utilizing these areas will prevent you from receiving a citation for a parking violation resulting in a $50.00 fine.
