Does anyone know how to get a hold of Mother Nature? It is no longer April. We do not need April Showers. It is all about the May flowers now! Or at least it is
supposed to be.
The
Mount Airy Farmers Market will be open rain or shine on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. but we are making a slight change. Due to the high amount of rain recently, all vendors will be in the parking lots of Watkins Park -- not along the dog park path.
We are asking everyone planning on going to Watkins Park on Wednesday to please park in the lot by the basketball court We need to keep the other lots open for the vendors in the afternoon.
If the rain stops and fields are OK to play on for sporting events, Parr's Ridge Elementary School is also an option for parking after 4:30 p.m.
An updated list of vendors will be posted later today and on Wednesday morning.
Let's hope all this rain clears out soon.
