Grab those old paper billing statements, confidential forms and used batteries. The Town of Mount Airy's Recycling and Sanitation Commission will be hosting a free community shredding and battery collection event on April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon (or whenever the truck is filled) at Watkins Park, 615 Center St.
This event is a residential item shredding only. No businesses. Only Mount Airy residents (21771 zip code) will be able to participate.
Please do not bring items like magazines, newspapers, advertisements, etc. These are not confidential items and do not need to be shredded. They can be safely placed in your recycling bins. The event is for shredding confidential papers only.
